There may be instances where you try to access the Todoist web app and are unable to connect or see a misformatted page. This article provides several possible reasons for these issues, along with suggested actions to resolve them.

Internet connection issues

At times your internet connection may be unstable or experiencing temporary issues.

Check your internet connection by trying to access other websites. If you cannot access any websites, contact your internet service provider for assistance. If you can access other websites, try accessing Todoist again, or use an alternative internet connection.

Browser cache and cookies issues

For optimization purposes, browsers store some web app content locally, this is commonly referred to as caching. Wrongly cached items may cause misformatted pages or prevent you from starting the web app.

Clear your browser's cache and cookies, then try reloading the page. Find the instructions for your browser by following the respective link below:

Browser extensions or plugins conflict

A browser extension or plugin may be causing a conflict with the web app.

Disable your browser extensions or plugins one by one, reloading the Todoist web app each time to see if the issue is resolved. If you find a problematic extension or plugin, consider removing or updating it.

Firewall or antivirus software interference

Your firewall or antivirus software may be blocking access to the Todoist web app.

Temporarily disable your firewall or antivirus software, then try accessing the web page again. If the issue is resolved, consider adding https://todoist.com as an exception in your firewall or antivirus software settings.

Internet and network limitations

If you are using a corporate network, or accessing us from a country that may have restrictions on certain websites, you may be unable to access Todoist.

Corporate network

Your IT department may have set up restrictions on the websites you can access and that may mean Todoist is not currently allowed – consider reaching out to them for further assistance.

Country restrictions

When accessing Todoist from a country that has restrictions on certain websites, you may be able to access Todoist by using a VPN service.
